About
About us
We are a small congregation of people who meet to worship God every Sunday morning at Weston Favell Parish Hall Northampton.
We are Christians who aim to return to the simplicity and purity of the New Testament in all matters of faith and practice, living life according to the Bible.
We are only interested in the spreading of the Gospel as proclaimed by God's only Son, Jesus Christ, and not the words or ideas of any other person.
Our service is held in a small modest building with no grand furnishings or ornate interior. Everyone is of equal importance and we all dress and act like ordinary people. The worship service is focused toward God, not toward man. We are not there to put on a show or to be entertained. We assemble to lift our praises to God in song. We raise our petitions to God in prayer. We remember the sacrifice of Christ in the Lord's Supper every week. We learn God's word from a scriptural sermon.
We hope that you too will become interested in God's Word, the Bible. If you appreciate warmth and friendliness - why not come and visit us at 10:00am every Sunday for our worship service.

Are you a part of any major denomination?
We do not belong to any denomination or Christian group. We are an independent local congregation having the word of God as the sole authority for all that we teach and do. There are thousands of such local congregations throughout the world, each of them deriving their authority from the Bible alone.
How is the church organised?
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the church and no one else can take His place. All the members of the church are equal in the sight of God, each of us saved by grace through faith in Jesus. The church is to have elders to oversee the work of the church, deacons to serve, and preachers and evangelists to teach the word of God. We do not have special titles for any member of the church and address each other by our names.
What do you do on Sundays?
We meet on the first day of the week (Sunday) to Worship God and have fellowship with one another. You will see us joyfully singing songs, pouring out our hearts to God in prayer, breaking bread in grateful remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus, edifying one another through the word of God and cheerfully giving to the Lord. You are most welcome to visit us on any Sunday.
What else do you do?
Apart from gathering as a church on Sundays we meet at other times during the week for various activities in order to serve the Lord and to encourage and edify one another. We have a mid-week meetings in various localities in the town where members meet for a time of songs, prayer, Bible Study and fellowship. We share the good news of the love of Christ through Home Bible Studies and Correspondence Courses. We also help the poor and the suffering in many parts of the world.
How can I become a member of the church?
A person cannot 'become' a member of the church, but is rather 'added' to the church by the Lord - take a look at: What must I do to be saved?
